The spark of inspiration
I first fell in love with music because of the way it made me feel—calm, focused, and free to express myself. Playing guitar and piano gave me a creative outlet and a sense of accomplishment that nothing else could. Over the years, music became more than a hobby; it became a part of who I am. That’s what inspired me to start teaching. I want to give my students that same spark—helping them discover their own confidence, creativity, and joy through music. Sharing what I’ve learned and watching students grow is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do here at pharosmusiclessons in Van Nuys, California.

What makes my guitar and piano lessons truly different is the way I blend patience, creativity, and personalized teaching into every session. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all method—each student gets a learning plan built around their personality, pace, and musical interests. I focus on making music feel fun and approachable while still teaching real technique and strong fundamentals. Students get to learn songs they actually enjoy, build confidence step by step, and feel supported every time they sit down to play. My goal isn't just to teach notes and chords—it’s to help each student discover their own musical voice in a positive, encouraging atmosphere they won’t find just anywhere in Van Nuys, CA.
Celebrating every note
I love teaching students who are curious, excited, and ready to try something new—especially beginners and kids discovering music for the first time. There’s something special about watching a student go from unsure to confident, from playing their first note to completing a full song. My biggest hope is that every student leaves my guitar and piano lessons feeling proud of themselves, inspired to keep learning, and connected to music in a way that brings them joy. Whether they dream of performing or simply want a creative outlet, I want them to feel supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving more than they thought possible at pharosmusiclessons.
